Basket Weaving by Janet Daughtry

After taking a class through Home Extension over 20 tears ago, Janet was hooked on baskets. She is now a member of NCBA, the Goldweaver's Basket Guild, the Port ity Basket Guild and the Herb Society of Wake County. Her particular interest is in Period, Colonial, Applachian and Cherokee basket styles. Janet enjoys experimenting with dyes and stains from walnut hulls, acorns, onionskins, berries and bloodroot. She teaches classes locally and at seminars. She had taught classes in Honduras as a women's ministry.

For information on classes, call the Whistle Stop Quilt Shop in Selma at 919-975-0404. You can find her baskets at the shop and at the Eno River Festival.
